Both of them also have the power to permanently kill a Greeed. They both have the power of the Dinosaur Greed and take Giru's form, but Eiji overcomes The Corruption while Maki intentionally drowns himself in it. In fact by the end Maki is trying to invoke this by throwing more purple Medals into Eiji and corrupt him further.

Devil in Plain Sight: A creepy Mad Scientist with an equally Creepy Doll who tells the audience up front in his Creepy Monotone that he is an Omnicidal Maniac.Ironically, the deal ends badly for Kazari. Deal with the Devil: Partway through the show, Maki makes a deal with Kazari to provide Medals in exchange for being allowed to "research" him.It also signals things are about to get bad when he ditches it. Creepy Monotone: Which serves to highlight just how unsettling the dude is.Creepy Doll: Carries on on his shoulder.

Control Freak: Has no problem with Kazari hurting innocent people or making Yummy but flips out when Kazari makes one from him even though it did not harm him and even attempts to destroy it himself before it can attack Chiyoko out of spite.

The Chessmaster: Kazari didn't find this out until it was too late.

On top of that, he seems to be quite insane.

Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Apparently a brilliant scientist, but suffers massive panic attacks if he's removed from his doll.

Big Bad: While his debut was in #9, he gradually becomes an intimidating threat enough to end up being this, especially after joining Kazari and becoming part of the Greeed in #30.Date seems determined to find every single Berserk Button he has, then pound them all until something breaks.Ascended Extra: His Creepy Doll started off as a mere prop but gradually appeared to be more and more sentient.Late in the series, he becomes a Greeed and becomes the Big Bad. Maki as the Dinosaur GreedOne of Kougami Foundation's brightest scientists, in charge of its Biotech Laboratory, as well as the inventor of the Birth system.
